Is the ERA test painful??

Need to have an ERA done- is it painful? Anything I should know??

I’m scheduled for an ERA on Thursday. Curious about the tissue sample, do they take a large sample or just scrape a swab along the lining to get cells similar to a pap only in utero?

It is a little bit painful but just for about 30 seconds. My doctor had me slowly counting backwards from 20 I think and before I got down to one he told me it was over! It was done in my regular fertility clinic office and my husband was allowed to be in the room with me. Starts off like a Pap smear where they put that clamp thing in then the doctor gets the sample which is the painful part. All done within 5 minutes. Good luck!
