If you can, please send some good thoughts to my pup, Toby. Last night he was excited to go upstairs for bed and tried jumping up a half flight of steps. He landed weird and immediately couldn’t use either of his back legs. We took him to the emergency vet and he was so scared and in so much pain. They kept him overnight and gave him pain meds through an IV before doing x-rays. He has a slipped disc in his back which takes 6-8 weeks to heal and he may end up needing surgery. It broke my heart to see him like that last night. The vet still has him and we’re waiting to hear back about when we can pick him up.

Definitely going to be a long couple of months for him, especially since we’ll have a new baby in the next 4 weeks. I just hope the medication works and helps with his pain.
