My daughter is 16 months old and has had a fever of 102.5 for three days controlled with an alternation or Tylenol/Motrin I though it was because of her getting her molars but it’s day three almost four now and she’s extremely irritable and exhausted, typically she’s happy and goofy and constantly snacking and she’s not now. I took her to her pediatrician who told me it’s just a viral cold/sore throat but part of me wants to take her to the pediatric ER for a second opinion. She also threw up three times this morning and has done nothing but scream cry all day. What would you do? Would you listen to pediatrician or take her to the ER? I feel like I was rushed out of the office and they didn’t take my concerns seriously but I also don’t want to take her to the ER for a cold and expose her to potentially more serious illnesses. Help.
