Any Floridians out there?

My husband may take a job which would require us to eventually relocate to the Tampa area. Does anyone have any insight on affordable areas of living (rentals to start)? 
Also, does anyone know anything about private schools (elementary) in the surrounding areas?

I loved living in Tampa! I lived in North Tampa. Wesley Chapel is a great place for families with a good schools. I had a lot of friends with children who lived in Riverview, about 20 mins outside of Tampa ...good luck!

My parents live in Land O lakes specifically so my brother got into the school district there. My uncle lives in Lithia, and same, schools are great. Brandon is also nice I hear. All those are technically suburbs. If you want the city,  I've heard stay away from the east side, other than Ybor city, and North Hyde park and  beach Park down to south Tampa are alright.
