I have a 3 week old I've been having trouble getting from soothing in bed to put down in bassinet, someone suggested bedsharing, someone else said no way, everyone went to all caps in 0-3s.

Most resources say not to as 69%of sids deaths are in shared beds which is the number that scared me, I also came from a family bed and my sister and I were incapable of sleeping alone and I'm watching a friend's bedsharing with her 2 yr old tear up her marriage so it's a no for me.

However there are the "safe sleep 7" people swear by. These guidelines if followed say the risk is insignificant.

And I can see how it happens tbh I've been so exhausted some nights I don't want to soothe my baby for fear of falling asleep, but the limiting nature of the 7 means I wouldn't be able to "safely" anyways.
