Anyone here experience a bit of gender disappointment?

No judgement! We found out we are having our second girl last night but I was convinced it was a boy this whole time. 😭💖

With my third boy I was kind of upset but it passed quickly, but with my fourth boy I feel like I grieved the girl I’d never have. 
But it looks like 5th times a charm in our case, I have my anatomy scan today and I’m convinced she’s turned into a boy since our last ultrasound 😂😂 so I’m silently dying on the inside until it’s confirmed for a second time that she in fact has a vagina 😂😂

I experienced it with our LO, i wanted a girl so bad for hubby since he already had 2 boys from previous but God blessed us with another boy so i was kind of bummed but quickly snapped out of it, this pregnancy was different and had a feeling it’s a girl and was right finally having his first “daddy’s little girl”

Completely normal. I was so ashamed to admit this with our first. I cried when I find out she was girl, I was expecting a boy and just too scared to ever have that relationship with a daughter considering my life experience with my mother. After the fact you realize how it’s okay to feel that way but in reality all that is needed is a happy baby no matter the sex. I wouldn’t change it for the world, now pregnant with my second and keeping the baby’s sex a surprised.

I was CONVINCED it was a girl! Had her name picked out, kept looking at all the girls stuff in online stores .. my hubby has two boys from a previous relationship and was desperate for a girl...
Alas ... my son is not a girl 😂 19+4 and it was a SHOCK 
I’m over the moon now but I did have a sulk on the drive home when we found out haha

If this baby had been a boy (would’ve been my 3rd) gender disappointment would’ve been a mild way to put how I would feel 😂 totally normal and absolutely ok to feel disappointment.

Yes, and thank you ladies for making me feel more normal! I really just wanted to be a girl mom and have another girl, but it's a boy this time. Everyone expects me to be thrilled because I get one of each, but that's just not what I wanted. Obviously I will love him no matter what, but I still feel like a terrible person 😞

I wanted a boy both times, had this dream I’d be a boy mom, have a little baseball team but instead I got two girls, ones 16 months and one will be here in September. I love them to death and have learned to become a girl mom but I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed when I found out both times they were girls.

When I first found out I was pregnant, I was like "Girl! Girl! Girl!" And we had our gender reveal Saturday, and you can see my reaction to finding out its a boy:

Not with this pregnancy, but with my last I did. The feeling goes away as the pregnancy progresses and definitely by the time you’re holding your new little one. 
(For me anyways).
