Nail file or clipper???

Question

We just cut our little one by accident with the nail clippers and now we never want to use them again 😭😭😭😭😭😭.. what else can we use??? I heard of little drummels and little scissors for baby nails. Any suggestions?? Ugh we’re sick about it - didn’t really do much but bleed a tiny bit and she calmed down quickly but we’re not touching them anymore!

I bite my babies nails. my grandma told me to do that because you can feel better. Maybe gross to some but i bite my own nails 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve used this since my son was born because I was afraid of cutting him. It works well and I even use it on my nails!

I’m terrified of the nail clippers! I have just been using a nail file and shes 9 weeks. It takes me a loooong time as she’s always awake when I do it and she can’t stop moving lol. Some days I get one hand, some days both, some days I just get 2-3 fingers haha. It’s a work in process 😬

I started with a nail file. Our pediatrician told us to not use clippers (probably because he sees a lot of accidents happen). My little guy is so wiggly he won’t even let me file. So while I’m nursing him I peel them carefully. I know it’s probably not the best method but it’s the only way I can do it or he scratches chunks off of himself and us.

I used a file for a long time and if I needed to use clippers I waited til he was sleep and not moving around. It gets easier so don’t worry I use to be super scared to clip his nails now he bring the clippers to me asks for them to be cut.

If you use a nail file, invest in a glass one! They work so much better than the cardboard Emery boards. Just don't leave them on the floor...my husband has stepped on and broken two of them in the last week 😋

I file my baby’s nails. He’s 3 months old. Got a pack of 3 baby glass nail files on Amazon. Works great.

I used clippers at first, but it was really scary cuz babies nails are too soft you can't even hear a tick when it's cut. I switched to tiny nail scissors for some time. And now back to clippers. It's ALOT easier now that her nails have gotten harder.

I love these Frida Baby nail clippers! They have a “spy” hole so you can see what you’re cutting! I’ve never cut my 1 year olds fingers thus far using it!
