I still nurse my 16 month old, though he's recently cut back to two feedings a day, first thing in the morning and again before he goes to bed, about 12-13 hours after that morning feed. I've been so proud to keep nursing him! Especially when it was so exhausting early on and then even through us BOTH getting the influenza A just before he turned one, when I was about 6 weeks along.

However, I recently had to take antibiotics, two rounds pretty close together, the second different med than the first. The first didn't seem to bother either of us. The second gave us both some tummy troubles. Now, a week after completing it, I'm finding that I can't hand express more than a couple drops from each side, even right before feeding time. Since taking the meds, he's really shortened his morning feed but still does his normal routine at night, for the most part. I really want him to wean on his own, if at all possible! Idk if this is just him self-weaning or me drying up because of meds or drying up because of pregnancy. I"m 6 months pregnant now. Wondering if there's any point in maybe trying to pump after each of his feeds to up my supply? Anyone had this? I just really wanted to make it to two years with him, unless he wanted to stop before then and I feel like this isn't coming from him.
