Leave him or Stay?

So I have known this guy for a year, he has been trying to capture my heart for quite some time now, but he eventually got it; the problem here is that he doesn't make the effort to text as much, when I cannot hang out he gets all sad and mad trying to make me feel bad for hanging out with my friends. I never really thought it was bad until one of my best friends called and I told him I couldn't because you know my friend called me, (Note: that this is my childhood friend that I barely get to talk to so him calling me is just wonderful) he said, "Is he more important than me" and he said that in some tone that had me so upset I just said, "Yes he is more important" and I just can't understand why he pops up at booty call time when I tell him not to, so ladies please help me make a decision here. 😔
