Boyfriend controlling my wardrobe

Hey girls, I need some help,

So I’ve been dating this guy for over 2 years and I love him to bits and treats me so well. I COULD NEVER DUMP HIM SO PLEASE DONT OFFER THAT AS AN OPTION 😊 but he’s always been controlling on what I wear and i really don’t like it, I’ve tried talking to him about it but he just thinks I’m trying to show off to other guys or disrespect myself or him and it causes an argument. If we go to a party I can’t wear that black mini skirt because it’s too short or I can’t wear this top because it shows clevage. And when we go shopping I can’t buy this lace top because it’s too see through ect. I want to know how you dealt with this in ur relationships and anything I could do to kinda tell him I want to wear what I want (I’ve tried to be firm but it just makes him upset) this is a really sensitive issue and I really need your advice xx
