5w too soon to tell mom for Mother’s Day?

This is my first pregnancy and I am super excited yet I know the risk of miscarriage is still there for first 12 wks. BUT I am super close with my mom who is also a medical professional and I really want to tell her the news for support and questions. This would be her first grandchild so another part of me doesn’t want to get her excited and then hurt her if something happens... although she would be the first person I’d call if a miscarriage happens anyway. HELP! Should I tell her for Mother’s Day or wait until my first appointment at 8w?
