I have my boyfriend of one year. He’s only had one ex .. my ex bestfriend. I met him back in 2014 when he was with her & when she was my bestfriend  and I had my bf at the time. We were all so close we would double date and do all these fun things together. My ex bestfriend cheated on him because he wouldn’t give her sex and so they broke up(keep in mind he’s religious that’s why he didn’t want to have sex) they’re relationship lasted 2 years.. my relationship with my ex lasted 4 years. Throughout the time that they broke up I never spoke to him but I had him on Facebook. One day my ex beat me very bad and I prayed to God about what to do. Next thing you know my ex broke up with me. A couple days later my ex bestfriend ex boyfriend messages me inviting me to church & I accepted(not because I wanted something with him but I wanted something with God) and I started going to church, we started talking as friends for weeks, and then one day I had no ride home and when he dropped me off he kissed me in the cheek and told me “I know God brought us together again for a reason” and I cried .. months passed by and now we’re together. My ex bestfriend got upset and my ex did too.. but honestly I’m the most blessed person ever at the moment.. God knew I needed someone like him and we just turned a year and he got me a promise ring. God is good all the time and God knows why He puts you with someone and why you meet the people you meet.

Did you & your ex best friend have a bad fall out or you just aren’t as close? Sounds like too much drama to me

I wouldn’t suggest it.. and if you do, be completely open and honest about it with your ex best friend. I messed around with my best friend (at the time)’s ex of almost a year and we had an AWFUL falling out. Thankfully, things are mostly fixed between us but we will never be the same. And I’m sad I spent the better part of my senior year of high school without my best friend because of some stupid choices
