Period on BC if pregnant?

If you’re on birth control (specifically the pill), and you get pregnant, would you still experience a period, or withdrawal bleeding?

my grandma had her period when she was pregnant with her first kid. it was in the beginning of the pregnancy and only happened once

Technically you can’t have a normal period when you’re pregnant. When you have your period, you’re shedding the lining of your uterus that has built up to nourish an egg. No implanted egg, no need for that lining anymore, so it comes out in your period. But when an egg does implant onto your uterus, and you become pregnant, your body keeps that lining. Some peeing n the early stages of pregnancy is fine, but if it’s heavy like a normal period, that’s a sign something might be wrong.

In my experience no, I got pregnant while on the pill and didn't have any bleeding.
