hey! so i’ve never been on any form of birth control at my mother’s behest, except for condoms as far as sexual activities. i am 18 and my mom made my dad get a vasectomy because she couldn’t handle any bc pills without sickness, so she never let me get on anything until now (i don’t like doing things behind my mom’s back). however, i’ve been looking for a type that will remove my periods or at the very least lighten and shorten them and my symptoms. i would prefer to get an iud, although i don’t know if that would be smart to immediately start with as my first type of birth control. i would rather not have to take a pill simply because of the need for a new routine and for the large reaction of hormones. but if you’ve tried both or a different sequence of other birth controls which do you suggest i begin with? sorry that’s a long one haha
