Tmi about period after birth??

Question

I have a super light 2 to 3 day period before birth. I've had two periods post partum at like 2 months and on and it was the same. Now this period is so heavy it went through my tampon onto my pants and honestly the most blood I've seen in years. What could cause this????

I had my first at 27, and I got my period 8 months  later. Ever since the birth of my child, my periods have been horrible.  Horrible periods are common in my family, they seem to get worse as the women age.  I don't know if this is typical, but I would  ask other family members about their experiences.

Nothing really. Your period can be weird for up to a year after giving birth.
