My 2yo was seeing an occupational therapist for some sensory & feeding issues.At each visit,she would do something which will make him cry like taking off his jacket or his shoes when he will be crying hard because he doesn’t want to take them off . Both times when I tried to comfort my son by saying ‘it’s okay’ she would tell me I did wrong & I shouldn’t be comforting him at all over these things and even if he’s crying, he would be over it in few minutes. She will also force him to grab a toy & throw it in a basket and if he won’t do it then she will pull him forward, grab his hand and will make him do it . I said I want to comfort him when he’s crying because I don’t want him to have a negative association with this place but she didn’t agree.Would you change the OT ??
