Are you mommies picky if your husband/wife choose to spend Mother’s Day with you and their mothers at the same time?

A little more detail: like a dinner or same flowers type of thing

I wouldn’t mind doing SOMETHING together but would expect we also do something just with us and our child/children too, even if it’s just hanging out or spending a little quality time together. But would be fine with breakfast/dinner or whatever with the MIL even though she’s not my favorite person lol.

My husband has sent my Mother, MIL and I out every mother's day to celebrate together. No kids. We usually all three get our toes done have dinner and see a movie. We have a wonderful relationship with each other and I definitely do not mind. He also buys us all matching charms from pandora every year on Valentine's day. Both my mother and his mother are alone and he acknowledges them.

I’m not, except his mom has this way of being the corpse at every wedding. She’s very desperate for attention and it’s quite annoying. As long as i feel it’s “balanced”, i don’t mind spending the day or at least part of it with her.

He can go spend Mother’s Day with his mother if he wants but me and my child will not be there she isn’t my mother I’ll be spending the day with my child the one that made me a mother. I have no issue giving her a card and present but another time in the week. I think it depends on your relationship and for me, my mil and I are not close.

I think people get way to wrapped up in this holiday. It’s like the same thing as Valentine’s Day with people getting upset because he wants to give something to the kids as well as the wife. Do what you guys feel comfortable with. Literally every relationship is different. I will be spending part of the day with my mom because I love her and like spending time with her. We took my MiL to the zoo yesterday so she could spend it with us and her Grandson. My present was in the form of buying deck stain and new furniture.

Absolutely not. I'm not my husbands mother and I expect him to spend some of the day with his mom. He always makes sure he does something for me with our kids and I wouldn't mind doing a dinner with all of us, including his mom!

We spend the day with all of my family to celebrate all of us mom's. We used to go to husband's mom's too but not so much after having our own children because of the state of her house. (It's not child friendly.) So no, I wouldn't care if he wanted to do something to include his mother. I wouldn't be involved though because my mother in law doesn't know how to get along with me.
