Yes and no. 
If you've had sex recently, that could be the cause, which is nothing to be alarmed by, it's normal. Just keep an eye on it and let your OB know. If it turns red, coupled with clots and you can "fill a pad in an hour" those are all reasons to go to the ER/urgent care. I've had spotting off and in for a few days and I've just kept my OB informed. She brought me in this past week just to check and baby is measuring fine with a strong heart beat.
