I’m due June 4th and live in California. So as most people know, you aren’t really supposed to be outside a lot with a newborn when it’s 80+ degrees. My in laws are coming the week after my due date and they keep trying to make all these extravagant plans and get upset when I tell them that me and the baby can’t really do that. They want to go to the zoo, the beach, sea world, etc. I’m trying to be nice about it and just tell them that we don’t know when the baby will arrive and idk if the baby or I will be up for that at that time, but they keep pushing it. I told them they are more than welcome to do these events if they wish as I know it’s not very often they get to come to the west coast. They just get butt hurt and try thinking of more extravagant/different outings for us to do instead. Any advice to get them to lay off? Also I’m not crazy right!? I’m not saying we can’t go out ever but the baby could literally be only 1-3 weeks old when they come to visit and walking around the zoo in 80 degree weather sounds absolutely terrible to me.
