Swelling ??

So I’m 4 days pp. baby was born this past Wednesday n my feet are HUGE. They’re even worse than when I was pregnant. My hands are swollen as well but my feet are really bad. When will this go away ??

Postpartum swelling is insane. You have to keep in mind you are hormone dumping and you were pumped full of fluids during delivery. Expect to stay swollen for about a week or two then it gets better. The more you stay off your feet the better things will be. Also if you can get compression socks on then those work wonders

My swelling after birth was horrible. I was swollen into my thighs. Couldn't even bend my knees to go down the stairs without feeling like my skin was going to rip open. I was told to expect the swelling to get worst before it gets better before I left the hospital. It gets better within two weeks or so

I had lots of swelling after my daughter was born. Keep an eye on things though. My blood pressure was also pretty high. So my doctor monitored me closely, but I got back to normal on my own. I hope it goes away for you soon!

Yep mine were horrific and didn't budge at all for a good 2 weeks. They finally looked normal at about 4 or 5 weeks. Unlike one of the other replies I was advised to keep moving rather than rest, lol, so might be individual circumstances, ask your care providers for advice. Drink shed loads of water though

Totally normal! No one tells you that you swell durning and after labor!
