Is this lip tie?

I’m thinking yes, but not sure! I was trying to see his gums because I knew the top two teeth were coming in and I noticed that it looks like lip tie. He never lets me look so it’s always difficult. I also saw a lactation consultant when he was born and we talked about it but it was never confirmed. Thoughts???

Dental hygienist here. I can't quite tell from the photo if that's a lip tie, the colors are dark on my phone for some reason, but from what I can see I think it is. Even if your little one is not having issues with nursing/weight gain/feeding you should still have it evaluated by a dentist who understands airway development. Lip and tongue ties can cause abnormal growth and development of the structures that make up the airway, and can put your little one at a higher risk of developing sleep apnea/breathing disorders as an adult. Some lip ties are light enough to not have an impact, but I'd get him evaluated just in case.

Yep, that looks like a lip tie. Not a big deal if he's nursing and gaining weight on track.
