So I’m sensitive to birth control and right now I have the nexplanon in my arm and I’m also taking loestrin to help rebalance me. My doc said if I respond well to the pill then we can take the nexplanon out and just do the pill. Originally she prescribed me the 10 mg lo loestrin, but my insurance won’t pay for it and they will pay 100% for the 20mg loestrin. I’ve been on the 20mg for about a month and a half now and it hasn’t been as bad as some of the others I’ve tried. But I’m definitely noticing some side effects.

So my question is, is the 20mg a type that I could just cut in half and take just half a dose? Obviously I would consult my doctor before doing anything. I’m just curious if that is something anyone else had done.
