do you guys think this is an okay starter crib?

baby girl due July 2019. My husband and I are gonna be living in between two houses so we have two different cribs! My momma picked this up but should I be worried about SIDS with the padded sides? We could totally get a brand new one this just came from a church exchange.

gotcha! Thank you guys for the feedback! I don’t think it’s vented after trying to examine it again today & I asked my mom about it & she pretty much said the same thing; should be okay until she gets big/she’ll grow out of it super quick. I guess she has a family cradle too. my husband is building our main co sleeper crib so this is just at our other house for when we’re out & about.

This is ok until baby rolls over. And can leave that next to your bed too :)

SIDS and suffocation are two different things. This is a huge suffocation hazard. Not a SIDS hazard. But I wouldn't be using this.

Personally I would get one with all mesh sides.

As Cindy said this should be fine until baby can roll, as you will place baby in the middle with feet touching the bottom.
Is it vented? The base looks like it's made of solid material are there vents underneath? Do you have it on a stand, I can't tell from the first picture if it's a stand or something else x

This works until she starts to roll. Make sure to follow all safe sleep and no blanket, pillow or anything else in there with her and you should be ok to use this in the beginning.
