How often do you formula feed newborn? Waiting for breast milk to come in but not producing enough colostrum to keep her going. What formula is best to use?

If you want to breastfeed you need to do it on demand to get your milk going. If you formula feed, you won’t be feeding from the breast and so there’s less stimulation and therefore less milk. The more baby is on your chest/breast, the better. The oxytocin from you holding baby on your chest helps your milk come in too. 
It’s a vicious circle when you try supplement your milk with formula. It seems like a good idea but it won’t get your milk going. 
Babies stomachs are the size of a marble at birth. It doesn’t take much colostrum to fill them.

What makes you think that you aren't producing enough colostrum!? If its because your baby keeps eating that's completely normal! Their stomachs are so tiny so they have to eat very regularly!

You’re producing enough for baby, trust me. Their tummies are tiny at birth and colostrum is jam packed with all of the nutrients a newborn needs. It’s why it’s different than regular milk. When I gave birth to my daughter they called it liquid gold. Also, I kept trying and pumping/feeding my daughter so my milk came in very quickly and she never needed more than the colostrum amount I produced.
