Will you be using a rock and play?

Question

I know they’ve been recalled, but who will still be using a rock and play for their baby? I had one on my registry but it got removed after the recall but I ended up getting one from a friend. When used correctly I don’t believe they are any more danger to your baby then any other baby seat, swing, etc. I have used them working in daycare for years and never had an issue.

Yes I will. I used one with my first and I'll use it with my second. It's called responsible parenting.

My SIL was due 2 days ago (still no baby yet!) and she got the exact model that was recalled. When we looked up the recall, it was because babies were left unattended to sleep in them, which you are not supposed to do anyway. She’s ended up keeping it and plans to just never leave her baby in it unattended.

I was incredibly torn, but I ended up returning mine to amazon that I had recently purchased. I know it was due to misuse, however I could never live with myself if something happened.

We have one from our daughter. She loved it and so did me and my husband. We plan on using it stain for our son and following the safe guidelines for infant sleeping. What happened to those babies is horrific and I couldn’t imagine but I do think it could have been avoided when using safety. Always buckle them in, when they can start rolling over they are too old for it etc. Go with your mommy gut!

Yup! They aren’t for sleeping and have to be monitored and buckled in while in use. If you do that you shouldn’t have any problems.

I’m using mine I used for my first and she loved it. Just make sure to always strap baby when in the sleeper. I read the reason for recall was infants turned over (due to not being strapped) and suffocated. Plus I kept it right next to me when I slept so if she even turned her head I would wake and look at her.
