So yesterday during dinner I noticed several bumps behind my babies head . My mother n law stated they were lymphnodes . Baby had one on each side of his head. One bigger than the other . Is it normal for babies to have this ? Going to see a pedi tomorrow ...

Answer

There are multiple lymph nodes in that area as well as long the neck and clavicle. Swelling of them can mean several things. Your child may be fighting a virus so the swelling simply means their body is working as it should. It’s hard to tell since I cannot see them. As long as your child is drinking well and peeing, seeing your pediatrician tomorrow is fine.
