Why am i not making enough breast milk?

My son will eat & then gets real frustraded because there's not enough milk. 😔 What can i do? please help

I don’t suggest supplementing. It’s counterintuitive to creating a supply. 
Every single time you nurse, drink a glass of water and have a snack. You need fuel to make milk. Also, switch breast’s frequently. Nurse for 15 minutes then switch. If you have to do it 4 times a session don’t stress. Switching sides stimulates a letdown which stimulates production. 
Also, depending on age it’s normal for them to fuss at the breast. Usually it indicates a growth spurt. If diapers are wet and dirty often, and gaining weight, he’s getting enough. If your period is returning you may see a slight dip the week before its arrival. Certain times of the day babies are also more fussy (look up witching hour).

Nurse more often.  Make sure you’re eating enough healthy food and drinking tons of water.
It CAN BE TOTALLY NORMAL for babies to cluster nurse and get fussy.  They’re trying to get your breasts to produce more to meet their needs as they grow.  If they’re having plenty of wet diapers and are not losing weight, there is no reason to supplement with formula right away.  By supplementing unnecessarily, your milk supply will drop further because baby won’t be nursing more and it’ll be harder to get back up.  If you choose to supplement, I’d make sure to pump often between feedings to get your supply up.
Get in contact with a lactation consultant or la leche league to figure out if you’re actually under producing or just feel like you are and see what they can do to help.

You need to see a lactation consultant to actually rule out problems but things that are possible are an improper latch, fast let down (try lying on your back to nurse to slow t down) or slow let down (try compressions). You could not be eating/drinking enough. He could be cluster feeding which is normal and is how they increase our milk. Put baby to breast often every 1-2hrs to see if you can get it going. Also he may have a tongue or lip tie or a sensitivity. I have breastfed 3 babies and had different issues with each one. Tongue ties. Dairy sensitivities. Jaundice. Lazy latch. Fast let down. Engorgement. Mastitis. You name it. I have a lovely IBCLC I found with my second and she’s been a lifesaver for me. Helped with everything. I successfully breastfed my last 2 for 15-18mo with her help. ❤️ thinking of you momma. I know it’s hard. You’re doing the best thing for you both by trying. You can do it!! It’s not easy but it’s worth it!

My advice is to not stress too much.  I tried just about everything and I was never able to produce enough for my first. I only got maybe 6 oz a day between him breastfeeding AND pumping.  We stopped at about 7 weeks. He has done just fine on formula.  He's 13 months now,  perfectly healthy the right weight.

Supplement with formula for the moment... but I advice as in right now pump pump away!!! Like every 1 hour for 20/20 min or just go crazy on it! Try to eat well hydrated. Try oatmeal and other online tricks to eat!! Just make sure baby is feed for now your supply will catch up just don’t give up pumping! You got this!!
