Advice please

I got a positive test 5/6 went to the doctor got blood test 5/7, but we have no way to know if it’s a viable pregnancy or not no way to know how far along i am or if the baby is okay. They didn’t do the hcg count so I have no way to know if it’s increasing or decreasing. I have a doctors appointment 5/15 no ultrasound or anything that will give me any insight to how my baby is, so frustrating the least they could do is make sure my numbers are okay 🙃, is this normal? Is this everyone’s experience I just pray it’s a healthy baby
