When did you decide to move to IVF?

My wife and I just dont know what to do...our insurance doesnt cover IUI or IVF. I’ve had four failed medicated IUIs and my last IUI i produced four eggs. Financially it might make more sense to try for IVF. Has anyone had similar experiences? Thanks

We moved on to IVF after 5 failed IUIs (4 medicated). I’m now 5w5d after our first transfer. We paid entirely out of pocket (insurance didn’t cover) and the expenses were huge. But between buying sperm and the costs for IUI - it was so expensive that way too and the success rates are so low.

We did IVF after 4 failed IUIs and got pregnant first transfer. Totally worth it for us, and now we're trying for baby number 2 we're just going straight to IVF

My dr said once we have tried 3 IUI’s and been unsuccessful then we would talk about moving to IVF.  I would just touch base with your dr to see what the game plan can be.  Good Luck!
