There are only two genders. There are several sexual orientations that people claim to fall into - aka pansexual, heterosexual, homosexual, sapiosexual etc.. but ONLY TWO genders. People often confuse genders with orientations and it is my hope that people will learn the difference. This does not have anything to do with my support or lack of support for anything regarding LGBT or any sets of beliefs, as that gets hairy. But there being two genders is  unquestionable - it is a fact.

Gender is a spectrum. My foundation for this belief is biology and the existence of intersex individuals. The definitions for the binary sexes are sicially constructed to make senseof our world which is why people cling to them, when actually they are arbitrary in some ways (perhaps i say this as someone who has a knack for philosophical deconstruction...)
I'm not an expert on gender socially or psychologically, but since biologically it's a spectrum, I'd venture to say that psychologically it would be similar, and if science backs that up, why would we have an issue with people expressing their gender as they are comfortable, socially?
It's just sensible. 
If you want to add emotions into the situation, it gets messy, people cling to the idea of binary gender because it helps them make sense of the world, but i don't believe at all that it's consistent with reality.
I do think it is only polite not to misgender people when they ask you not to. Gender disphoria is a mental illness, and it is 100% not cool to treat people who have mental illness poorly. This is whether they are trans or nonbinary or something else. In general, regardless of a gender disphoria diagnosis, it is unacceptable to be rude to someone because they are presenting in a way that makes you uncomfortable. People can express themselves how they want to, especially as it is completely unharmful to everyone. Further, all of this exploration of the nature of gender is not a bad thing, people can honestly review what it means to be a man or woman, if it means anything at all, how they "feel"- for instance, I just feel like a person... seems kinda like gender was made overly important at some point and socially, we are reevaluating those roles. Nothing to be afraid of, seems progressive, it's just, very new & confusing to some people.

There is only two, well three if you count intersex. I don’t really believe in all that ‘Nonbinary’ and ‘Genderfluid’ stuff, because how can your brain change genders? That’s impossible. As for nonbinary, i don’t believe such thing exists, buttttt if someone identifies as that then imma still respect it, as long as they dont use the weird ass xe/xis pronouns. Technically ‘nonbinary’ is the lack of gender so-
1+1+0=2 :)
