Strangulation hazard w/ hanging lights?

I wanted to hang lights up like these behind our couch but I was wondering if they would be considered a strangulation hazard for a 2 year old???

It’s a matter of how closely you want to have to watch your little one every time your in there. I wouldn’t want the stress of every time I’m in there worrying my kid would yank em Down

ANYTHING could be strangulation/choking hazard. Just start teaching that he/she shouldn't touch them, it's as simple as that. It's just like putting the Christmas tree up. Those ornaments are usually breakable, so you just have to teach that you don't touch them. You might have to be a helicopter mom until they get it, but once they get it, you're good to go!

I wouldnt even be able to hang them up before my son ripped them down. If you can get them hung I'd say just watch the kids well in the living room and dont leave them unattended
