so a guy from the next town over and i had started talking in dec 2017 and really hit it off. however about a month later his family and him moved overseas to our home country (we’re the same nationality). we kept talking and made things official even though it was long distance.

about six months later, in late June 2018, i was raped. a week later i flew out to our home country for vacation to clear my head, and hopes to see him. he had actually flown back here to surprise me, so obviously neither of our plans went as planned lol. anyways, because of my rape, I was really on edge and closed off & ghosted him for a while.

Fast forward to winter 2018, we reconnected and all the feelings came back. He was supposed to visit and spend the summer with me but he was pulled into a business trip. I really like him & we’ve been official again for a while but it’s so hard being literally thousands of miles away.

I just wanna know how some of y’all do this long distance thing?? shit is exhausting. any tips or advice would be soo greatly appreciated
