Walmart employee prank

A YouTube channel “Joel and Lauren Tv” posted a video that is now deleted where Lauren goes into a Walmart dressed in business clothing and “fires” employees. She tells them they are doing something wrong, says they are fired, and instructs then to hand over their vest and name tag, while Joel is filming the encounter. I find this despicable.

I want to know what you all think and why you think someone would do such a thing. “For the views” will be a common answer I’m sure, but I think that’s been discussed enough and I personally think there’s more to it than that. I think those who make money through social media often live a rather lavish and often privileged life where they don’t have to be aware of the realities and importance of a traditional job. I feel like they targeted a place where people don’t respect the employees. So they didn’t care if they upset them. It’s “just Walmart. It isn’t an important job.” One woman actually started crying in the video. It’s just so hard for me to fathom how heartless people can be to think something like this is okay to do for entertainment. That’s peoples families and lives on the line.
