Anyone planning their own baby shower? How early do you start?

I have to start planning now as I'm moving to Colorado from cali at the end of the month and wont be back until August and that's only for a few days. Although I have people to help

I’m planning our baby shower. It will be in August. I’m reserving the location early due to it being a lot of graduation parties around that time. I just like to take my time to plan and not have to rush.

I’m not planning but my besties have already booked the venue. I’ll be 30 weeks, and my parents are flying in to attend. We will have it in September.

I had my first baby 11 years ago and went all out planning it myself. I rented a meeting room at a hotel and had it catered, games galore, drinks and prizes. I had scratch off tickets and chocolate goody bags. It was an awesome baby shower and everyone had fun. I won’t e doing that this time though. I don’t live in my hometown anymore so I wouldn’t be 30+ people at the event. If you are going all out like I did start buying and planning now, if not then just wait until a few weeks before and throw a little party together.

I’m semi-planning it. My sister and my mom want to plan it but I also have a vision for it. I want it to be a BBQ type of thing for men and women so I’m planning it for early September/Late August. That’s all I have so far lol

I didn’t plan it but i picked the date. If you are going all out then i would start planning way in advance. If it’s at someone’s house then it’s not that hard to plan. I sent invites out about a month in advance so people had enough warning. I have a very busy family!
