What else can I try?

Hi everyone, I’ve been TTC for over 5 years and I’m fed up. Cycle 2 on clomid down and currently on cycle 3. I’ve gotta go back to my gynaecologist in August. If clomid fails, what other options do I have? I am desperate for a kid but I really don’t want to go through IVF just yet as I imagine that’s stressful as hell. Thanks

I’m gona sound odd.... but when I started ivf my stress levels decreased! I knew my chances of a baby were so much higher than any other method. I was way more positive and upbeat knowing it was my best chance at having a baby.... and now I’m 19 weeks pregnant.

Get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist. That’s the next step if three rounds of clomid don’t get you that bfp.

Is IUI an option? It’s less intense than IVF. They can wash your husbands sperm (even if his numbers are good) and put it in you at the right time. Usually your on clomid and do a trigger shot so they can plan the timing just right. Just a suggestion!

Thanks ladies! So to everyone asking if there is a reason I haven’t been to see a specialist, the simple answer is no. I’m in the UK so things work a little differently over here. 
My gynaecologist has ran all sorts of test, HSG, checked my egg count, check my tubes are ok, lining of my womb is thick enough, my husbands sperm count, whether I’ve got any std preventing me from getting pregnant, checked I’m ovulating correctly, literally all kinds of tests and everything has come back ok. This is why I was put on clomid as they are literally lost and have no answers. So I’m on clomid to increase my chances of getting pregnant if I release more than one egg per month. 
I suppose I could go private to get some more answers but I wonder if they’ll literally be telling me what I already know.. that my infertility is unexplained.

Agree with everyone else! Seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist will help you get the right tests, etc to find out what’s going on. There are a thousand reasons you might be having trouble, some that require IVF and some that are best treated a different way. But at least you will know what is going on with your body. In my experience, obgyns are completely at a loss for dealing with how to get you pregnant, they really only know what to do once you are pregnant. 
FWIW, I have been TTC #1 for 3 years and have met so many women on this journey - the only true regret that any of us have is NOT seeing an RE earlier. Take care of yourself and go get the info. Much support!
