Mortar & Pestle recipes (besides pesto & guac)?!

So I’ve recently inherited a mortar & pestle. I’ve always wanted one but now that I have one I realized I have no clue what to make with it 😂 Does anyone have any recipes they know of that include a mortar & pestle besides pesto & guacamole??

I just buy all my spices whole and grind them up myself with my mortar and pestle. I've never used it for anything else

I make this garlic sauce in mine. Smash a couple cloves with salt until it's the size pieces you want, I get mine almost paste-y. Then add lemon zest, either parsley or cilantro and olive oil. Put it on meat or as dipping sauce for fried potatoes or plantains
I also smash spices in it. Like cardamom seeds or anise seeds
