Removing Paragard IUD

Y’all I need to get this IUD removed. I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s gotten unbearable. Before my IUD I was never on birth control and my period was 4 days long with moderate flow that became light after the first day and a half with minimal cramping; truly a period that was easy to manage. After I got the IUD my period has gotten heavy and lasts an entire week and my cramps are borderline debilitating. I know it’s TMI but I’m so ready for it to come out I can’t do it anymore. Has anyone gotten it removed? How was the experience and what should I expect?
