Should paparazzi have rights to the pix they take of celebrities?

I saw a post about Ariana grande being sued by a paparazzi , I was just thinking how fucked up it is that paparazzis are allowed to stalk, photograph celebrities w/o consent, sometimes even using specialty lenses to zoom in on a private property as well as having “intellectual/artistic property or rights” to photos of other people.
Should the photographs paparazzi take allowed to be “copyrighted”? 
Thoughts on the Ariana situation?

In public yes, they should be allowed. Even though I think they’re assholes about it sometimes. 
I wouldn’t have an issue with regulation surrounding special lenses spying on private property. 
I actually side with the photographer in this case. It’s her image, but their intellectual property.

It shouldn’t matter if it’s in a public or private space, secret or not a secret, if someone doesn’t have permission to take another’s photo, they shouldn’t be allowed  to do it. Especially if they are going to put it in the media. The only exception should be if someone is trying to gather evidence of being harassed, stalked, abused, etc. because that’s for their safety and protection. 
A photographer that has permission to take pictures has rights to those pictures as to protect their profession. Paparazzi on the other hand, should have no rights to any pictures they take without permission/scheduled bookings with a client.

I have a question, did they even have permission to take this picture? Because these assholes are stalking her along and disrupting her day while she’s just trying to live her life.
She should have the right to her privacy and body to not be a form of profit. Because in The Constitution there is the right for privacy. Now the photographers are trying to make a profit over a picture they MOST LIKELY had NO permission of taking.
Don’t start that “it comes with being famous” bull crap. She is a HUMAN, and I bet she freaking loves singing, her job, and people’s admiration for her music. But as a human being she shouldn’t have cameras shoved in her face constantly while she’s just out trying to get something to eat or go do her job. She shouldn’t have to go home and worry about people trespassing or breaching her privacy with special lenses. Now if she went to an event where it was acknowledged that the paparazzi was going to be there like the Grammy’s or a red carpet gala, they can have the right to her picture. But any time they aren’t given direct permission she should have rights to her OWN images that feature HER BODY AND FACE. But that’s just what I think.

If the photo is taken in a public area then yes, if the photo is taken from a private area no. That includes pics of celebrities in their own home

No, especially when the person the pic is of did not consent to their picture being taken. It is of them, and therefor their picture. Not the paps. I personally HATE paparazzi and feel so bad for celebrities.

A lot of times they’re actually called places where a celebrity will be. I know sometimes they follow celebs around but that’s not always the case. I don’t think anyone should take pics of other people without their permission.

I read this a pizzeria 🤦‍♀️ I was gonna say sure if they are eating their pizza I guess.. but... Now that I'm here... yeah I guess idk paparazzi are vultures and just garbage 11/10 times, but I guess if they take the photo they have some kind of intellectual property rights to it depending on the photos of what they are taking.
