Estrogen too high for second round of IUI

Stacey

Hi all,

I’m feeling so down. My first round of IUI I was trying to be so hopeful but it didn’t work. I was really down, but got over it and when my period came I started getting hopeful for my next cycle. Today is day 3 of my cycle and I went to the fertility clinic for bloodwork and ultrasound. I went home thinking everything was great and that I need to take letrozole and come back on Sunday for more monitoring. Well I got a phone call later this afternoon and they said my estrogen was high and that I have a cyst so they won’t be doing IUI this cycle and to call them back on Day 1 of my next cycle. I felt so crushed and disappointed and totally off guard. I didn’t even know that was a thing that could happen. I’m also upset because they gave no information at all like how this happened or how to fix it or anything. Has this ever happened to anyone? Anyone ever have an IUI cycle get cancelled and then have a positive IUI later on? Any words of encouragement or advice would be so helpful. I’m currently feeling so devastated. It feels like this will be another month that my life is on hold and another month where I won’t be getting pregnant. So so sad and so frustrating.
