Like Jenny said, side effects are real. But, the good thing is, they don’t happen to everyone! I’m on the nuvaring and have had POSITIVE side effects, not negative! My acne has gone away in a serious way that the dermatologist could never manage. My periods are lighter. And that’s it! I honestly have hardly noticed any changes at all in my body and moods. And I love how precisely I can predict my period now!
Definitely be careful and vigilant in watching for side effects (I recently realized I was having strong side effects from another medicine I had been on for FOUR YEARS and had not noticed), but don’t go crazy with worry, because you may not have any at all, or they may even be positive! And know that if this medicine doesn’t work quite right for you, there are lots of others to try. Good luck!💗

Side effects are REAL!! If you start feeling severe mood swings or unexplained weight gain, open up to your parents and ask to speak to your doctor or get a different pill. I was never able to find a pill that worked for me. It made me nuts and I wish someone warned me about the potential side effects. Good luck to you.
