Toddler sleeping accommodations?

Question

We see going on a small vacation and will be sharing a room with our toddler and 10 month old. The baby will be sleeping in a pack and play but our toddler is too big. He is also a crazy sleeper so the bed is not an option. He is still in crib at home but the driver provided at this hotel are smaller and he'll he squished. Getting a room with two beds isn't an option because we are going as a group and the condo we have did not have that option. I'm looking for a good cot or mat that isn't too expensive and portable. Anything out there with good reviews?

We’ve had this one for years and my 6yr old can still use it.  It’s held up to plenty of abuse.  He, and several cousins who have come to visit, have had no complaints about comfort.

Would there be room to put a standard twin size air mattress on the floor between the bed and wall or something? Or in a pinch you could bring some extra thick blankets to make a pallet for him. I remember making lots of blanket pallets at my grandmother’s house to sleep on as a kid. If it’s a hard floor that might not work but on carpet it should be comfy enough.

My MIL has a toddler blow up bed, not sure on price but when I googled "toddler blow up bed" I found it for $45 at Target, Walmart and Amazon. Looks like a pool lol

Most hotels offer cots for a small fee, or you can request a room with a sofa bed? Personally I would just squish him in with mom and dad. My and my 2 adult sisters all shared a queen bed for a week in California last November and we survived, mostly!

If there’s enough room, you can move the bed mattress onto the floor and bed share, that’s what we’ve had to do at hotels.

Can they just lend you the crib mattress instead? Then you can put it on the floor.
