How long after your C-section were you able to drive?

I had a C-section on May 10 (five days ago) and I’ve actually been feeling pretty good so far. I’ve been up and walking quite a lot and I’ve been doing light housework. I have an appointment with my doctor in a few days (one week after) and i’m hoping he’ll give me the OK to drive within the next two weeks. I was told it would be 4 to6 weeks while I was in the hospital. I’ve done some research and I’ve been seeing some ladies started driving after two weeks. I’m just wondering what your experience was?

I was the same and could have driven within a. Week or two after my c section but my car insurance was invalid until 6 weeks post op so I had to wait

I drove myself to my 2 week post op appointment and was cleared to start driving then.

I've had two, both times my dr was very strict about waiting, 3 weeks to drive.  I felt ready sooner though.

I waited 4 weeks I still had a lot of pain because of how extensive my surgery was

My doc said 2 weeks.  The nurse said when I can get out of bed without pain. The issue is being able to hot the brake without recoiling in pain that would make you take your foot off.

I honestly felt fine like a week after, but my husband the worry wart wouldn’t let me drive anywhere for like two weeks lol.
