Vbac 12 months after Cesarean?

I really need some hope. My son was born via an unplanned c-section this past December from being breeched. I never planned on having a c-section and was very upset with not being able to give birth the way women were intended. It was also a very traumatic experience as I was cut open before being completely numb. Now I am 8 weeks pregnant with our second baby and I am again due in December. I know vbacs are possible but didn't know if anyone had had one so close after having a c-section. The midwifery I attend says they recommend at least 15 months in between a c-section and a vbac. I just really can't imagine going through that traumatic experience again really want to push having a natural birth. Does anyone have any successful vbac stories that close? Do I have a right to push that i want a vbac and to refuse a c-section??? Please help!
