Preventing Yeast Infections?

Does anyone know any methods to prevent yeast infections? My doctor just keeps telling me to take Monistat to stop them.  But I get them before and after my period. I use monistat but it’s like a everyday thing now. 
I eat pretty healthy and exercise, and I shower and clean daily as well as using solely cotton underwear. 
I’m not on birth control or any other medication at the moment. 
It’s getting bad to the point where if I think I’m free of a Yi down there (a week or so has passed without anything) so my SO and I decide to have sex and then when he pulls out there’s the white funky looking discharge on him. 
So I’m now just avoiding sex, but that’s hard when we see each other 3x every few months or longer due to him being in the military.

Try taking a probiotic - yeast flourishes when your microbes are out of balance from things like taking antibiotics, stress, or other health issues. Probiotics can help colonize good bacteria and it makes it much harder for yeast to survive. Worst case, it doesn't work, best case you won't have to suffer through frequent yeast infections.

Did you get him treated? You could have infected him and he keeps reinfecting you.

I second the daily probiotic. Also watch your sugar intake, drink a decent amount of water. Sperm/ lubes can throw off ph balance. Don’t use soaps or bubble baths down there. If I feel my ph is off I wash myself with baking soda.

Use apple cider vinegar  put some in a cut  not a lot then put water and was your V or u can also put some in the tub kinda sit on it mix in w water that works so that for a couple of days

Wash your Coochie with soap that doesn’t have any perfumes in it. Don’t use wet-wipes down there either ❤️

Try taking oregano oil as a supplement. It’s antifungal and has worked super well for me. I take it daily!
