Iron levels in pregnancy
I’m 21 weeks found out my iron levels are not where they should be & if I can’t get them up I have a high chance of becoming anemic when baby is born. I have been taking elevit, My ob told me to either eat more meat & leafy veggies or start taking an extra iron supplement too. I already eat enough meat & veggies I don’t know if eating more will make that much of a difference, is it even safe to take iron supplements during pregnancy? If anyone has had experience with this or can offer any advice it would greatly appreciated.
