Does implant birth control mess up cycles?

Please help Im so confused. My period is 11 days late and I got the implant removed about a month ago due to side effects I didnt like. My bf and I have had sex since then but it was with a condom. My periods usually come early if anything so Im like wtf? My boobs are sore as well so could this be PMS? I have never been this late before.

Getting on or off birth control usually affects your period for roughly 3 months

I've had my implant out 7 months now and  my periods have been all over the place, I had a long period last month so I'm hoping they have gone back to normal. It can take up to a year for your cycles to regulate again. It is normal.
