Weight Gain?

Question

Question for all: what is the expected weight gain for twins for a mother with a high bmi? I'm was 288 pre pregnancy, and I've lost 10 pounds which I hear is definitely normal during my 12+6 time with lots of nausea and vomiting. Before my Dr knew it was twins she suggested weight gain of 10-15 lbs, but hasn't mentioned different parameters for twin pregnancy. Thoughts?

I was 214 when i got pregnant and gain 15 pounds during my pregnancy, my fertility specialist and OB said i shouldn’t gain more than 25 pounds. It didn’t change when it was twins as i was already overweight and it wasn’t safe to gain like women with a normal or low BMI. 
You should ask your doctor but it’s probably the same as our bodies already have enough for the babies to be nourished from without gaining. 
You probably won’t gain as much as you think you will anyway, as long as you eat relatively healthy and drink water.  I was worried I would gain a lot more than I actually did.
