Period dilemma, might just cry😩

So recently my doctor has taken me off of the pill to see if it helps get rid of my headaches (FYI it’s not helped at all 😂) so my next period is going to cripple me as I suffer really bad cramps with it, so much that I’ve overdosed on painkillers way to many times. However I’ve just noticed I’m due on the weekend my mother and I are going to an event. Painkillers don’t help me at all and neither does heat packs. Does anyone have any suggestions to make the pain bearable 😩 TIA xox
