Period cramps/job

I seriously need help... I dont have a job at the moment (I just babysit since I'm ab to start clinicals😍). I got my period this morning and it never fails. The first day of my period literally feels like I'm in hell... my cramps are so bad I cant even explain what they feel like. I'm in the bathroom all day with diarrhea (I woke up at 10 and I've already been 6 times). No medicine works. I cant eat I bc I'm in too much pain. I usually end up crying because my hormones go crazy.

I was wondering. If you have terrible periods. How do you function at work?? When I was in high school I would always have to check out and go home the first day of my period because it's THAT bad. Advice??
