Tampon Advice?

Hey guys. I got my period last year and still haven’t used a tampon. I’m a swimmer so I will have to learn how to use one at some point. However, whenever I try to put it in, it kinda hurts and tickles at the same time. My mom says I need to just take a deep breath and push it in but I can’t. Does anyone have any tips or advice? Thanks!

What kind of applicator are you using?? Plastic ones are allot smoother to put in versus the cardboard ones. As for the tickling I have no idea how to help with that haha other than you're probably overthinking it. Use a mirror to help you see and the instructions on the paper inside the tampon box can be helpful as well.

Squat down while u push it in. Make sure u push it in far enough that your whole finger goes inside your vagina. It feels uncomfortable if u don’t push it in far enough

Hey as much as tampons are used they are not good for health. I would advise you to rather check out the menstrual cup.
